East Campus

The University at Albany Foundation purchased the former Sterling Winthrop complex, located at 81 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, NY in February 1996. Situated on approxiamately 90 acres, the Foundation’s East Campus contains modern office space, high-tech lab space and conference facilities. The East Campus is composed of a laboratory complex with five wings, (A, B, D, DB ) a separate office building known as the George Education Center, power plant, pilot plant, and a shredder building. Its location is easily accessible from the major interstate highways. The property accommodates the University at Albany School of Public Health, the University at Albany Student Loan Service Center, the Department of Environmental Conservation, Health Research Inc. along with several incubator programs.
