Cancer Research Center

Cancer Research Center

This state of the art, research facility stands as the flagship of the East Campus.  The 108,000 square foot building was constructed by the Foundation with completion in August 2005.  The CRC provides space for dozens of laboratories and offices with appropriate support facilities, including the Massry Conference Center, a fully equipped seminar room, and cutting-edge genetic research equipment.  The University at Albany researchers in the CRC are dedicated to investigating the genetic origins of cancer with the goal of developing viable treatments or cures.  This University group is joined by others, such as the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences’ Pharmaceutical Research Institute and the New York Neural Cell Institute.
