******************************************************************* For 29 years, The University at Albany Foundation’s Citizen Laureate Awards has honored outstanding leaders in business and industry, government and academics, for their extraordinary accomplishments. A tradition begun in 1977 as a way to strengthen the ties between the academic and business community, this black tie affair has evolved into one of the Capital Region’s premier awards dinners, with over 60 distinguished award winners gracing its history.
Each of our laureates enriches our community in distinctive ways — economically, scientifically, culturally, intellectually, and socially — and, taken together, their efforts help to transform our Capital Region. The Community Laureate Award honors individuals for their outstanding contributions to the Capital Region and beyond. The Academic Laureate Award recognizes individuals for their notable achievements in academia and research.
The proceeds from this event will be used to support The University at Albany Foundation’s Campaign for Students, which supports student programs and our ability to ensure their access to the finest higher education experience possible. Established in 1967 to encourage philanthropic support, The Foundation continues to advance the University’s strategic goals and sponsors efforts to build ties to the community.
For individuals and organizations who wish to participate through sponsorship opportunities, please review the following links or contact Terri Scalise Roller at (518) 437-5095.
