I. Dean's List Change in Criteria

After a long discussion on the new criteria requirements for Dean's List. The UAC finally came to an agreement that the standards must be raised rather than lowered. Thus, the new Dean's List policy would state the following:

For students matriculating Fall 2003 and thereafter: A matriculated student
shall be placed on the Dean's List for a particular semester if the student has
met all of the following criteria:

(1) A semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher
(2) Final registration of 12 or more credits
(3) At least 12 credits graded A-E
(4) No grade lower than a C
(5) No Incompletes (I)

II. Dean's Commendation Change in Criteria

The modification of the Dean's list criteria made the change to the Dean Commendation that much easier. The new Dean's Commendation Policy would state the following:

For students matriculating Fall 2003 and thereafter: A matriculated
student shall receive the Dean's Commendation for part-time Students
of a particular semester if the student has met all of the following criteria:

(1) A semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher
(2) Final registration of 6-11 credits
(3) At least 6 credits graded A-E
(4) No grade lower than a C
(5) No Incompletes (I)
* Final Registration: Student's transcript showing all grades for the particular semester will determine what award he/she qualifies for if any.

Reed Hoyt will take this to the next Executive Meeting on November 18th, 2002.

III. Future Meeting

Next meeting will take place on November 15, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. in the Conference Room.
