Mission
The Center's mission is to support appropriate career development through the design and delivery of innovative resources and programs that prepare students for the 21st century workplace.
History & Vision
The Center for Innovation in Career Development is affiliated with the University at Albany's School of Education. For more than three decades the Center, formerly the Two-Year College Development Center, has pursued research and development activities to support education, staff development and career opportunities for students at every level.
Center activities have focused on resources and programs to enhance career development, with an emphasis on opportunities for women and minorities in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Specific projects seek to encourage student interest in high tech careers through utilization of various local resources.
The Center conducts a variety of research, development and service activities that foster regional education and business partnerships. The Center works closely with representatives from business and industry, education, economic development, chambers of commerce, and other local community organizations.
