Chad Larabee

Chad Larabee is the Head of Performance for the University at Albany Theatre Program. He teaches courses in Acting, Directing, and History of Musical Theatre. UAlbany Theatre directing credits include Eurydice, Spring Awakening, In The Next Room (or the vibrator play), The Crucible, Antigone, Cabaret, and the world premiere of Great Expectations, for which he also wrote the modern adaptation. 

Off-Broadway directing credits include the revival of Garson Kanin’s Dreyfus in Rehearsal and the musical POPart. Other New York credits include Do Not Disturb, Molineaux, and Good Good Trouble on Bad Bad Island. He directed the London premiere of Ain’t We Got Fun, starring Siobhan McCarthy. Also, he recently directed Clybourne Park at Northern Stage. Other regional directing credits include Big River, Assassins, Violet, and Singin’ In The Rain. He is currently working on the development of a new play by Allan Knee, and will direct Life In Free Fall, a short independent film, this winter. He is a graduate of The University of Iowa, and Florida State University where he received his MFA in Directing. He is a member of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SDC).
