Chad Larabee

Chad Larabee is the Head of Performance for the University at Albany Theatre Program. He teaches courses in all levels of Acting, Directing, and History of Musical Theatre. UAlbany Theatre directing credits include Eurydice, Spring Awakening, In The Next Room (or the vibrator play), The Crucible, Antigone, Cabaret, and the world- premiere of  Great Expectation, for which he also wrote. 

Off-Broadway directing credits include the revival of Garson Kanin’s Dreyfus in Rehearsal and the musical POPart. Other select New York credits include Do Not Disturb, Molineaux, and Good Good Trouble on Bad Bad Island. He directed the London premiere of Ain’t We Got Fun starring Shiobhan McCarthy.  He recently directed Cleburne Park at Northern Stage. Other regional directing credits include Big River, Assassins, Violet, and Singin’ In The Rain. He is in development on a new play by Allan Knee and will direct Life In Free Fall, a short independent film this winter. He is a graduate of The University of Iowa, and Florida State University where he received his MFA in Directing. He is a member of SDC.
