Heroes at Home PFC Joseph Dwyer Veterans Peer Mentoring Network
Heroes at Home: PFC Joseph Dwyer Peer Support Program is a New York State funded project dedicated to ensuring a healthy and successful reintegration for all members of the military and their loved ones by addressing issues related to post traumatic stress; resiliency, and preventing suicide. Veteran Joel Abelove serves as the Director of Peer Services at the Rensselaer County Heroes at Home program. Dr. Eric Hardiman was awarded a grant from the New York State Office of Mental Health to conduct a mixed methods program evaluation of the Joseph P. Dwyer Peer-to-Peer Veterans Program.
