Scholarship awards range from $250-$3,000, and the amount is determined by the duration of your program and financial need

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How many WWRF scholarships will be awarded each cycle?

A: The number of awards varies each year.

Q: I know that I’ll automatically be considered for the Joan N. Savitt if I apply for the WWRF Scholarship, but do I need to submit any additional documents?

A: No, the scholarship committee will select one winner for the Joan N. Savitt Scholarship based on your WWRF application.

Q: Can I be awarded more than one scholarship if I identify with more than one scholarship category?

A: No. The categories are all a subset of one scholarship fund. This means that, even if you identify with more than one category, winners will only be awarded money based on one of the categories in which they identify/select.

Q: How early can I apply for a WWRF Scholarship?

A: Wintersession, Spring, and Spring Break applicants should apply by the October deadline, the year before their study abroad program begins.
(i.e. If you’d like to study abroad Spring 2018, you’ll need to apply for the WWRF Scholarship by the end of the October 2017 cycle.)

Summer, Academic Year, and Fall applicants should apply the March deadline, the same year of their study abroad program. (i.e. If you’d like to study abroad Fall 2017, you’ll need to apply for the WWRF Scholarship by the end of the March 2017 cycle.)

Q: How long will it take for me to find out whether I received a scholarship?

A: You will be notified 3-4 weeks after the application deadline.
