Photo Contest

Ever get the itch to share your travels with more than just your family and friends?
The office of International Education has the answer!
\We are now accepting entries for our 3rd annual Study Abroad Photo Contest

Entried will be Judged in three categories:
1. American students who have studied abroad	2. Faculty who have traveled abroad	3. International Students who are studying in the U.S.
(You must be a member of the University at Albany community and have a picture which represents an aspect of a country you visited.)
To enter, you must submit:
1. A short essay describing your photo (50 words or less)	2. An applicatiion (find online or in our office)	3. 4'' by 6'' photo (with a title)

You can submit up to three 4x6 photos that depict an aspect of your experience. One first place winner will be chosen from each category.

No digital photos via e-mail will be accepted - please print them for submission.
Each photo must be accompanied by a short application.
If you are a winner, we will require the compatible negative that will allow us to enlarge it for display. Although the Office of International Education cannot promise that negatives will be returned, we will try our best to do so.

Important: Photo proofs (4x6 submissions) will NOT be returned.

The Office of Study Abroad and Exchange reserves the right to exhibit photos on our website and/or in promotional materials.

Photos will be judged based on design standards and how well your international experience is portrayed. The descriptive statements on the application will also be taken into account.

Prizes:
All winning photos will be enlarged and displayed on the Albany Campus. The top winner in each category will have their photographs enlarged and framed, in addition to receiving a $100 gift certificate from STA Travel. There are several other prizes to be won as well!

Deadline:	All photos and applications must be received by March 15, 2005
