Student Life Home

Opportunities abound for students to get involved at the University at Albany. Home to more than 200 student clubs and organizations, as well as 19 Division I athletics teams, UAlbany provides outlets for any student interest, from political and government clubs, to cultural or religious-affiliated organizations, as well as an on-campus radio station.

The Office of Campus Recreation provides students with many opportunities to be active and involved. A variety of intramural and club sports are available. An indoor Aquatic Center provides a place for recreational, lap swimming and swim lessons. Group exercise classes are available for every interest, from Zumba to Yoga. Outdoor pursuits available through Campus Recreation include a Kayaking Tour and White Water Rafting trips. A Low Ropes Challenge Course is available to help you build team spirit in a fun and safe environment.

For students looking for a adventure away from the University environment, UAlbany’s Student Association runs Camp Dippikill, an 850 acre wilderness retreat facility. Cabins and campsites are open to reservations from undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni faculty and staff.
