UAlbany is home to eight distinctive residence halls. Amenities include fitness centers, cable TV and wireless internet access. Living-learning communities help connect like-minded students who live in the same residence halls, take the same classes or share majors.

UAlbany is committed to offering fresh, healthy, local and sustainable dining options as well as a new allergen-free resident dining platform. Students can also set up 'podium points' on their SUNYCard to use at more than 40 off-campus businesses.

Things to Do

UAlbany is home to 19 Division I athletics programs, a new multi-use athletic stadium, many club and intramural sports, and fitness and wellness centers. The University’s thriving Arts & Culture scene includes its own Art Museum, auditoriums for hosting music concerts, classical orchestras, theatre performances and award-winning authors. UAlbany is also home to more than 200 student clubs and organizations.

UAlbanyGo provides students with one-stop shopping to get active and stay involved. Through MyInvolvement students can find pathways to success by volunteering in the community or through student involvement and leadership.

Health and Safety

Student Health Services is available to University Students. UAlbany also provides counselling services, an award-winning peer-assistance program, and The Advocacy Center for Sexual Violence.

The University Police Department is committed to community safety and security. UAlbany's Office of Personal Safety & Off Campus Affairs promotes positive relations with the surrounding community. Students can also stay informed with emergency updates via an alert system.
