Office of the Vice President
Nick Butler is currently a junior majoring in Political Science at the University at Albany. For the past two years, Nick has served the students of UAlbany through his involvment in the Student Association. Nick was elected to serve as a representative of State Quad his freshman year, and was re-elected his sophomore year to serve as a Law and Government Senator. During the second semester of his sophomore year, Nick was appointed to serve as the Director of Legislative Affairs. In addition to his involvement in the Student Association, Nick has also held leadership roles in the College Democrats of America, SUNY Student Assembly, and UAlbany’s chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, a professional pre-law fraternity.
As the Student Association’s Director of Legislative Affairs, Nick served as the chief advocate for the nearly 13,000 undergraduate students attending the University at Albany. During his tenure, he met with University officials and State Legislators to discuss issues affecting students and worked toward common sense solutions to solve these problems.
Serving as Vice President, Nick is determined to represent the students of this University to the fullest extent possible. He plans on continuing his outreach to students and student groups on campus and will work to increase the level of transparency by which the Student Association operates. He has an open door policy and is always looking to speak with students about any issues and listen to any comments or concerns that they may have. Don’t hesitate to contact him directly to schedule a meeting, or just stop by Campus Center 116 and say hello!
