Department of Community Engagement and Outreach

Kimberly is from LaGrange, New York and is a senior with a major in political science with a concentration in American politics and a double minor in philosophy and sociology. Her past experiences in the Student Association include interning for the programming department, serving as a senator for Dutch Quad her sophomore year and a Senator at Large for her junior year, where she was the chair of the Committee of Community Engagement and Outreach. She also has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Dippikill for her third year, two of which she served as secretary.
Kimberly is extremely involved in the community. She has organized many community service initiatives with her committee including the pop tab drive to benefit the Capital District Ronald McDonald House and a drive to raise money to buy Christmas presents for local Albany children. She has also volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House as well as Habitat for Humanity. Kimberly has also helped with the Out of the Darkness suicide prevention walk on campus for the past two years and helped to start the Autism Walk this past spring. She has also been very active in setting up Pine Hills cleanups.
In addition to her positions within SA, Kimberly has also served as the Secretary and Community Service Chair of her pre-law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta. She is a certified board member for the Albany County Community Accountability Board under the District Attorney's Office, the treasurer for the political science honor society Pi Sigma Alpha, and a member of the Rockefeller College Dean's Leadership Council. During her junior year she spent a semester interning at the New York State Assembly.
Kimberly is very excited to begin many initiatives for this year. She is looking forward to working on the Student to Student Initiative that began last year as well as starting some new projects. She hopes to focus on partnerships with other student groups, especially those that are service based. She encourages any student with ideas for community service projects to come to her office at any time or shoot her an email.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.
