Department of Civic Action

My name is Kimberly Roc and I am the Director of Civic Action for the UAlbany Student Association. I am a senior majoring in Sociology and minoring in Criminal Justice and English.

I am from Rockland County, NY. Upon attending UAlbany I have consistently made an effort to become an active member of the UAlbany community. I am a true advocate for never limiting yourself in the opportunities you take. I first got involved with the Student Association my freshman year, working as an intern for the programming department. As a junior, I worked as an Associate Director for the Civic Action department and immediately became infatuated with its programs and effect on campus. In addition to the Student Association, my other involvement consists of being a member of the Middle Earth Peer Assistance Program, having served as Secretary 2015-2016 academic year and I am now serving as President of the organization. I am also an active member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, Pre-Law Chapter at the University at Albany, serving as Treasurer during the 2015-2016 academic-year.

Post graduation, I hope to further my education in law school and become an attorney. As Director of Civic Action, I am excited to implement programs that will inspire students to get in touch with their civic duties and opportunities available on and off campus. I look forward to playing an active role in programs that will encourage students to make their voice heard.
