Student Success Assessment
Assessment Activities
Research, primarily in the form of various survey instruments, is an on-going effort Division-wide.
Survey research occurs at two levels. The first, in association with the University’s Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness (IRPE), includes the development and administration of “home-grown” survey instruments. The second are national benchmarking study efforts which include surveys administered by professional organizations and often include a benchmarking feature.

- Fraternity and Sorority Affairs Survey
- Great Dane Beginnings Assessment
- Living-Learning Communities Survey
- NY Alert Survey
- Parents Council Survey
- Summer Planning Conference Evaluations (Freshman, Parents and Transfers)
- Student Affairs Colloquium Evaluations
- Campus Center Satisfaction - through StudentVoice
National-Benchmarking Surveys include (all facilitated by Student Success, unless otherwise noted):
- Campus Center Satisfaction (ACUI)
- National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) – institution-wide, through IRPE
- National College Health Assessment (NCHA)
