University at Albany E-Payment Plan

Save $$$ and Borrow Less with the E-Payment Plan!

  • Easy, on-line enrollment begins August 5, 2008 at epay.albany.edu. Click on “Enroll in Payment Plan” tab.

  • Have more time to pay tuition and fee charges.

  • 4 easy, equal installments. Fall semester payments due:  August 15, September 15, October 15, and November 15, 2008.

  • $40 non-refundable fee due at time of enrollment.

  • Save money by preventing administrative and late payment fees.

  • This is an online plan only, and payments need to be made online for the plan to work as intended. Mailed or counter payments will be applied to your account; but, such payments will evenly reduce all future payments, leaving your account open to late payment fees and holds.

  • Payment Plan may be set up by Student or Authorized User.

  • Installments recalculate automatically as tuition and financial aid changes occur.  Due to the way financial aid posts to accounts, we do not recommend scheduling future payments at this time.

  • Do not be concerned by the message in the E-Payment Plan text of the epay site: “You have missed the first installments of this payment plan due to late enrollment.”  Enrollment in the Plan is not considered late until AFTER 8/15/2008.

  • “Late” enrollment allowed through 10/15/2008, however, students enrolling in the payment plan remain responsible for late payment fees incurred prior to the date of enrollment, so save money by signing up now and avoiding late fees.

  • Missed payments are due at the time of enrollment.  For example, students enrolling on 9/15/2008 are required to submit the $40 enrollment fee, and if you enroll on: 8/15, installment 1 must be paid; 9/15, installments 1 and 2 must be paid; 10/15, installments 1, 2, and 3 must be paid.

  • Late installment payments are subject to late payment fees.Posted and anticipated financial aid showing on your account is calculated in the plan, automatically reducing installment amounts. If you expect to receive future financial aid that is not yet on your account as pending aid, it will not be calculated in the plan, and you will not be able to pay a reduced installment amount while you wait for the aid to appear on your account.

  • Down payments are applied evenly to the overall account balance and reduce all future payments. They are not required.

  • Either the Student or an Authorized User may sign up for a payment plan.

  • Be sure to sign up for email reminders of payments due: Students do this in "student profiles" after setting up a payment plan; Authorized Users are prompted as they set up the payment plan.

  • Re-enrollment required each semester.

  • E-Bills– the “Amount Due” shown on the e-bill does not include E-Payment Plan installment amounts. Visit epay.albany.edu to see your current installment amount due and to make a payment.

  • MyUAlbany Account– The MyUAlbany account will now appear with the actual total balance amount due.  Students who were enrolled in UAPP (the former installment payment plan available during the 2007-2008 academic year) will note that this view differs from what was displayed last year. To see the next installment amount due, please visit epay.albany.edu.
