School of Social Welfare Receives Grant for Behavioral Health Field Placement Fellowship

The Council on Social Work (CSWE) has awarded School of Social Welfare with a grant funding a fellowship for a student in behavioral health for an Integrated Healthcare Social Work Field Placement Project at Albany’s Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center.

The competitive award, given to just a handful of national schools of social work, positions the School and Whitney M. Young as leaders in new integrative models with social work in primary care settings, especially those serving diverse populations. CSWE is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as the sole accrediting agency for social work education in the U.S.

Estella Williamson, School of Social Welfare Assistant Dean and Director of Field Education, is the grant’s principal investigator.
