I am so delighted to share with you some of the developments in our School. We continue to enjoy a most vibrant community of exceptional and engaged scholars and staff leaders along with strong students and alums! We are proud to be celebrating our 50th anniversary as a School. We cherish our ability to build knowledge and advance wellbeing.


  • Dr. Lynn Warner

    Dr. Lynn Warner, Innovative Associate Dean and Researcher

    Dr. Lynn Warner, who serves as our Associate Dean for Research, is an inventive leader in our School. In her role as Associate Dean she has fostered an innovative and effective writing group for faculty. We congratulate Lynn for her pioneering, capacity-building work. Because of her excellence, Lynn was recently promoted to full professor.

    National Expert Addresses Forum on Evidence-Based Approaches To Health In Older Adults

    The School of Social Welfare with its Center on Excellence in Aging Services and Community Wellness and the Albany Guardian Society sponsored a forum addressing the “Widespread dissemination of evidence-based approaches to health in older adults” with keynote speaker Corinne Rieder, Ed.D., Executive Director and Treasurer of the John A. Hartford Foundation.
