Kimberly Bundy-Fazioli, Ph.D., '04 Received Journal of Social Work Education Award

School of Social Welfare Alumna Kimberly Bundy-Fazioli, Ph.D., '04 has been awarded the 2014 Journal of Social Work Education Best Article award. This award was given to Kimberly Bundy-Fazioli, and her colleagues, Louise M. Quijano, and Roe Bubar for their work entitled “Graduate Students’ Perceptions of Professional Power in Social Work Practice” (volume 49, number 1, pp. 108–121).

Nakeshia Knight-Coyle appointed Director of Programs for Oregon’s new Early Learning Division

Nakeshia Knight-Coyle, MSW ‘02 has been appointed by Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber as Director of Programs for the new Early Learning Division. In addition to day-to-day program management, Nakeshia, in partnership with program leaders and staff, will help align and coordinate programs to create one cohesive system to build an early learning system and structure to effectively best meet the needs of children and communities.

Nakeshia has spent her career in health and human services and has worked at both the Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Department of Human Services. “The Early Learning Division and the children, families, and communities we serve, will benefit from Nakeshia’s relevant experience as a program and grant manager and researcher,” stated Amy Craig, Communications Director Early Learning Division.
