Eric Hardiman Awarded Grant to Evaluate Peer-to-Peer Support Initiative for Veterans

School of Social Welfare Associate Professor Eric Hardiman is the principal investigator on a grant from the New York State Office of Mental Health evaluating a pilot project utilizing peer-to-peer interventions. The NYS PFC Joseph Dwyer Veteran Peer-to-Peer Support Pilot is being implemented in four New York State counties: Jefferson, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Suffolk. The pilot will soon be expanded to seven additional counties:  Nassau, Erie, Onondaga, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester. It recognizes the need to effectively address the challenges experienced by veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
