The Center for Excellence in Aging and Community Wellness is a translational research center that develops, tests and implements innovative practices and policies that address the needs of aging persons, their families, and caregivers. The Center’s diverse research, training, education, planning and service activities synergistically work to improve the creation, delivery and sustainability of evidence based approaches to addressing key aging concerns for the years ahead.
The Center stands at the nexus between universities and communities determined both to create new knowledge and to be a key partner in translating existing knowledge into practice. The Center’s success in these endeavors is enhanced by maintaining relevance in its activities, finding low cost successful strategies to address key concerns, and expanding its connectedness to various constituencies.
