FIELD EDUCATION
We welcome you as a student of the School of Social Welfare to the challenging world of social work practice. In social work education, the field placement experience offers students a unique opportunity to apply theories and strategies that they are offered in the classroom to real-life clients in real-time agencies and communities. This experience is a critical component of the educational process that is designed to prepare our students to become social work practitioners at every level. We have compiled the materials on this site to assist you as you begin and continue to navigate your field work placement. We hope that by collecting these documents, tools and reference materials for you in one place, it will make your experience easier, more enjoyable and ultimately a challenging learning opportunity for you!
