Plan of Study
The program requires the completion of 18 graduate course credits. These consist of 6 Master of Public Health (MPH) core courses. All of the CPH-FP courses will be offered in-class (SUNY-East Campus) and online through the Blackboard Learning System. The courses include:
| - | EPI 501 Principles and Methods of Epidemiology I (3 CR) |
| - | EPI 503 Principles of Public Health (3 CR) |
| - | STA 552 Principles of Statistical Inference I (3 CR) |
| - | HPM 500 Health Care Organization, Delivery and Financing (3 CR) |
| - | HPM 525 Social and Behavioral Aspects of Public Health (3 CR) |
| - | EHT 590 Introduction to Environmental Health (3 CR) |
| To obtain the degree, each student must fulfill the following requirements: | |
| - | Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. |
| - | File an application for Certificate completion within four years of admission. |
Note: Students can take a maximum of two courses before applying and being admitted into the program. Course waivers can be obtained only through prior approval. There is a transfer credit limit of one course (3 credits). Students who are enrolled in a School degree program and would like to pursue the certificate degree can do so if they fulfill the above-mentioned requirements.
