Instructions for submitting abstracts:

Deadline: Friday April 2nd

This year there are two ways to submit your final abstract. Everyone must use the online submission form first, but those who feel they need to include more than just plain text in their abstract can also email us the abstract in pdf format:

Online Submission Only

The online form will submit a plain text abstract. When you submit a properly filled out form you will receive an on screen acknowledgment that your abstract has been submitted successfully. If there are any problems with the abstract, you will be contacted.

If your abstract must contain special characters or formatting, you will want to submit the abstract in pdf form. Once you have submitted the abstract online, follow the instructions below to submit a pdf version. The pdf version with your special characters will be used for public display online and in the Poster Day book if we receive it by April 2nd.

Email submission of pdf file

If you feel your abstract has to contain special characters (italics, super- and subscripts, Greek letters, degree symbol, etc.), you must:

1) submit your abstract using the online submission form
2) write your abstract as an Adobe Acrobat pdf file.
(the software to do this is available at both the East Campus and the Wadsworth Center).

The pdf file must be named using your last name and the last 4 digits of your student id number (e.g. smith4389.pdf) and attached to an email.   The pdf file you submit can contain a title using special characters, which will not count against the 250 word limit.

Send the email with the pdf attachment to:

After submitting your abstract, at the end of the week you can check that your abstract was successfully received by clicking the link on the left. The list will be updated every Friday and will include abstracts submitted up until 12 noon the previous day (Thursday):
