The award consists of a symbolic commendation; travel expenses, lodging for the awardee and a guest to attend the presentation ceremony and a reception in honor of the awardee. The award will be given at the opening session of the annual Leadership Institute on July 14, 2008.

Leadership contributions in the fields of research, administration, education, technical service, and all specialities of public health leadership practice receive equal consideration.
