Potential Internships and Field Placements Fall 2007
The following announcements for Fall 2007 have been submitted to the Dean's Office. Graduate students currently enrolled in the School of Public Health may request to be considered for the positions below. In order to apply for any of these positions, an email clearly stating the following must be sent to Lynley Thomson at LThomson@uamail.albany.edu NO LATER THAN 8:00 a.m. on August 27th:
- Name;
- Degree program;
- Area of concentration;
- If the internship is for academic credit;
- Complete titles of the positions to which you would like to apply.
The link to the position descriptions will indicate whether the internship is funded. Please note the following regarding available stipends for a fall semester position (20 hours/week for 12 weeks for a total of 240 hours):
- Unpaid: there is no stipend associated with the position
- Organization: varies depending on organization
- Maternal & Child Health Block Grant (MCH):$3,000
- Public Health Leaders of Tomorrow (PHLOT):$3,000
(please note: PHLOT funding is available only to qualified MS, MPH & DrPH students with U.S. citizenship or permanent residence who are completing the experience for academic credit)
