Berwick, MD, President and CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, reflected on “the sources and meaning of “power” in health care” as the final six months of the IHI’s initiated 100,000 Lives Campaign, aimed at saving 100,000 needless deaths from medical errors by June 14, 2006, began.
