Current Faculty Research

The faculty of the Department of Health Policy, Management and Behavior have diverse backgrounds and academic fields of interest, including health policy, management, sociology, economics, health behavior, social psychology, gerontology, and health services research.  The group has published manuscripts in leading medical journals (Journal of the American Medical Association, Archives of Internal Medicine, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Pediatrics, Chest, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society), public health and health services research journals (American Journal of Public Health, Ethnicity and Disease, Medical Care, Health Services Research, Medical Care Research and Review, The Gerontologist, Journal of Aging and Health), health management journals (Journal of Healthcare Management, Healthcare Management Review) and social and behavioral science journals (Health and Social Behavior, Social Science and Medicine, Psychology and Aging, Health Education Research, Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, Health Communication). They review manuscripts for scholarly journals, serve in leadership roles within their academic and professional societies, and staff federal grant review panels --
professional service activities which attest to their accomplishments.
