Two gynecologic oncologists discuss the factors that increase risk for ovarian cancer, as well as the signs and symptoms associated with this disease. The discussion includes the epidemiology of ovarian cancer and the current status in prevention, early detection, and treatment. The role of New York State's public health and primary care providers in reducing morbidity and mortality and improving quality of life for women affected by this disease is also addressed. We'll also hear from survivors who will share their own personal experiences of being diagnosed with and treated for ovarian cancer.
