It is sponsored by the School of Public Health, the NYS Department of Health, the NYS Community Health Partnership, the NYS Association of County Health Officials, and the NYS Nurses Association.

The focus of this presentation is on how to skillfully and creatively manage occupational stress. Employees will learn practical strategies for avoiding burnout. Managers will be given strategies for building high morale in an era of rapid change. Robert Veninga, PhD, is at the School of Public Health, University of Minnesota and is co-author of The Work/Stress Connection: How To Cope With Job Burnout.
Objectives
As a result of this program, participants will be able to describe:
- describe at least two strategies for avoiding burnout in myself or the people I supervise.

This Educational Activity is presented by the School of Public Health Continuing Education, which has been approved as a provider of continuing education by the New York State Nurses Association’s Council on Continuing Education, which is accredited by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
