Tobacco Control and Prevention

Program Description: Although 440,000 Americans continue to die every year as a result of using tobacco products, substantial progress has been made in identifying and implementing effective interventions to prevent and reduce tobacco use. This program will highlight effective interventions that focus on changing the community environment from one that supports tobacco use to one that promotes the smoke-free norm.
Objectives:
As a result of this program, participants will be able
to:
- describe at least two interventions that focus on changing the community environment from one that supports tobacco use to one that promotes the smoke-free norm.
