Surveillance Training Academy

The School of Public Health, in collaboration with the NYS Department of Health’s Office of Health Systems Management, offers year round activities of the Surveillance Training Academy. These professional development opportunities help DOH surveyors remain knowledgeable and current as they carry out surveillance and inspection activities of the hundreds of health care facilities across New York State. SPH Continuing Education programs respond to the ever-changing needs of surveyors as they inspect Long-Term Care Facilities, Hospitals, Home Health Care, Adult Homes, and Emergency Medical Services.
