Advanced MDS - Beyond the Basics

Learn how to use MDS 2.0 effectively in care planning for your residents. This workshop is appropriate for experienced professionals who want more indepth information about MDS 2.0 and a better understanding of using MDS 2.0 and RAPs in care planning. This workshop is not appropriate for individuals who have not taken a basic MDS 2.0 workshop or who have little or no MDS experience.

Topics:

  • More indepth information on MDS 2.0 including scheduling
  • How RAPs and care planning fit into the whole Resident Assessment Instrument process
  • Understanding how RAPs are triggered
  • The steps in researching a RAP
  • Requirements for successful RAP documentation
  • Effective care planning
  • Questions and answers - session size limited to allow for answers to your questions.

Instructors: Taught by experienced nursing home professionals with hands-on MDS experience.

Who Should Attend: This training is designed for long-term care professionals who are familiar with MDS 2.0. Interdisciplinary team members are encouraged to attend to get the complete picture of RAPs and care planning.
