Intimate Partner Violence Training 2007

Understanding Domestic Violence-
Making the Connection between Screening and a Public Health Response

Regional Training Locations throughout New York State.

What you'll learn:

  • To identify the signs and symptoms of domestic violence.
  • To be able to describe the leading health indicators associated with domestic violence.
  • To understand the importance of universal domestic violence screening.
  • To become familiar with domestic violence treatment resources for referrals.

    Who should attend: Physicians, nurses, midwives, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical residents, patient care providers, social workers, health educators, family planning providers and such non-medical personnel as home-visiting program providers.

    Fee: None but pre-registration is required.
    Limit of 5 registrations per agency (Registrants will receive a confirmation and directions to exact locations.  Please print these for your records.)
