Carol D. Young, Ph.D., Director of Continuing Education and Professional Development. She has had a 20-year career in continuing education and training at colleges and universities and as a private consultant. She has worked with government, business, and industry to develop customized training and performance programs. She has a doctorate in Educational Administration from Cornell University and a masters in French Literature from Middlebury College.

Cheryl Reeves, M.S., M.L.S., Associate Director of Continuing Education. She has had a 16-year career in curriculum development, technical writing, and training. She is project director for the MDS 2.0 training project and has had major responsibility for a number of satellite videoconferences including 12 in the Women's Health Grand Rounds series, "Medicare - Changes and Choices," and Third Thursday Breakfast Broadcasts. She was part of the development team for Orientation to Public Health, a web-based course funded by the New York-New Jersey Public Health Training Center. She holds a masters degree in Library and Information Science from the University at Albany and a masters in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Illinois.

Amy Hart, Producer, Broadcast Productions, Continuing Education. She produces three series of live broadcast programs for School of Public Health including the Third Thursday Breakfast Broadcasts, Women's Health Grand Rounds and special broadcasts for the Center for Public Health Preparedness. She also directs and produces video roll-ins for the programs. Previously, she worked in film and television in NYC at Miramax, New Line, King World and Fox. She holds a degree in theater and music from Bennington College.

Robert G. Westphal, M.D., M.P.H., Medical Director, UAlbany Center for Public Health Preparedness. Dr. Westphal is an Emeritus Clin. Prof. of Medicine from the Univ. of Vermont and has spent 34 years in hematology and blood transfusion, including 3 years with the International Red Cross in Geneva, Switzerland. He is a graduate of the Univ. of Wisconsin, Case Western Reserve College of Medicine and received his MPH at SUNY Albany. From January, 2000 to January, 2002, he was the bioterrorism preparedness coordinator for the NY State DOH.

Margaret Watson. Project Coordinator for the University at Albany Center for Public Health Preparedness. She has 14 years of experience in higher education administration and project management. She holds a BA in psychology from Allegheny College.

Carol Walther, Administrative Assistant, Continuing Education. Prior to joining Continuing Education, she provided secretarial and administrative support and fiscal management in fields ranging from institutional research to architectural preservation. She also conducted her own craft business. She has a BS in home economics from Cornell University.

Susan Brooks, Clerk, Continuing Education and Professional Development. Sue provides administrative support to the staff through such tasks as sending out mailings and doing data entry and other clerical duties. She is also a NYS licensed massage therapist and works at a spa part-time.
