Colorectal Cancer
Funded by the Cancer Services Program, Bureau of Chronic Disease Services at the NYS Department of Health
The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge of clinicians about the significance of colorectal cancer as a preventable cause of cancer mortality in women. It also covers primary and secondary prevention screening options, with a focus on women.

- Discuss the epidemiology of colorectal cancer and the importance of screening and early detection
- List and describe five screening options for colorectal screening for both men and women
- Decide appropriate screening strategies based on patient’s risk factors, preferences, and other factors
- Describe methods to handle overarching implementation and counseling issues
