Basic Environmental Health Program Foundations of Public Health Practice
Risk Assessment (EH 104B)
This half-day in person class includes the following topics:
- Overview of the programs and responsibilities in the
Bureau of Toxic Substance Assessment.
- The four general steps in risk assessment.
- Common toxicological terms used in risk assessment
and general methods for quantifying human health risk.
- Exposure pathways and factors that impact the degree
of such exposure.
First priority for this course is given to local and state health department personnel who are required to take the BEHP. Second priority is given to individuals registered for the Foundations of Public Health Practice certificate program. Other public health staff may register on a space-available basis.
