UAlbany Professor, Michael S. Bloom, Receives Fulbright Award to Romania

Michael S. BloomDr. Michael S. Bloom, Associate Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the University at Albany School of Public Health has received a fall 2015 Fulbright Scholar Award to support teaching and research in Romania. Hosted jointly by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Haţieganu” and the Environmental Health Center in Cluj-Napoca, he will be teaching epidemiology and investigating the impacts of groundwater arsenic contamination on pregnancy and birth outcomes. The Fulbright program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government with the goal of fostering long-term cooperative relationships in education, politics, culture, economics and science.
