World Health Day 2016 - Beat Diabetes

This year's World Health Day theme is "Beat Diabetes." The diabetes epidemic is increasing quickly in many countries, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a significant proportion of diabetes cases are preventable through lifestyle and dietary changes. Diabetes can be controlled, managed and treated to avert complications. Collective action must be taken to boost access to diagnosis, self-management education and affordable treatment.
