Certificate in Public Health Fundamentals & Principles Application

The Certificate in Public Health Fundamentals and Principles prepare students for the continuously changing challenges in the field and acknowledge the emerging need for creative educational modalities in public health. They may be used as a first look at public health or to further enhance one's understanding of the complexities of the field. Previous public health experience is not required, although many students in the program may be working in public health settings.

International Requirements

  • WES evaluations for international transcripts. Evaluations are not required for Canadian transcripts if the language of instruction is English.
  • Minimum TOEFL score of 98 (institution code: 5688), two semesters of full-time study at a US college or university, or completion of an undergraduate degree in a country where English is the official language and language of instruction
  • International applicants on an F1 or J1 visa are not permitted to enroll in the fully online certificate program, due to visa restrictions.

Application Requirements

  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree from a college or university of recognized standing
  • An undergraduate level course in mathematics (algebra or pre-calculus) or statistics with a grade of B or higher
