Victoria Rodriguez, a first-year Master’s of Public Health and Master’s International student at UAlbany, is the 2014-2015 recipient of The William Randolph Hearst Foundation Endowed Fellowship in Public Health. A Chicago native, Rodriguez attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. Her main research interests focus around healthcare in minority populations. She hopes to improve healthcare conditions within the Capitol Region through prevention and education, specifically focusing on reproductive health and childhood obesity. Upon completion of her degree at UAlbany, Rodriguez plans to work both nationally and internationally to increase healthcare opportunities in underdeveloped communities.
