UAlbany’s Center Director appointed to serve on the New York State Public Health Association Board
Dawn Bleyenburg, MS, MCHES, director of Center for Public Health Continuing Education (CPHCE) and Empire State Public Health Training Center (ESPHTC) at the University at Albany School of Public Health was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the New York State Public Health Association (NYSPHA).
Members of the board of directors represent public health organizations from across the state of New York, bringing expertise from public health disciplines. In this capacity, Ms. Bleyenburg brings extensive experience and understanding of the continuing education and training needs of the public health workforce in New York State.
Ms. Bleyenburg earned her bachelors and masters degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Prior to her appointment as the director of CPHCE in December 2012, she served as the assistant director of the center for eight years, as well as a training program coordinator. Ms. Bleyenburg is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist and a 2010 graduate of the Northeast Public Health Leadership Institute.
