Undergraduate Public Health Major Receives the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence

   

University at Albany undergraduate public health student Lauren Bailey is a recipient of the State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. The Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence recognizes students who best demonstrate the integration of academic excellence with accomplishments in the areas of leadership, athletics, community service, creative and performing arts, or career achievement. A dual-major studying public health and political science, Lauren is on the dean’s list and will graduate in May 2013 with high honors. She is enrolled in the University’s Honors College and is a member of the PHI Beta Kappa National Honors Society, Pi Sigma Alpha, and the Political Science Honors Society of Rockefeller College. Lauren has received the Emerging Leader Award from the University’s Student Association and the NAACP W.E.B Dubois Advocacy Award. She plans to enroll in the Master in Public Administration (MPA) program in the University’s Rockefeller College.
