The School of Public Health is a unique partnership between the University at Albany and the new York State Department of Health.  This partnership provides students the opportunity to observe and help address public health problems as they occur, using some of the largest information databases in the world.  Many of the students in the laboratory programs conduct basic research in the Wadsworth Center, which is part of the New York State Department of Health and is generally acknowledged as being one of the most technologically advanced laboratory complexes in the country.  These resources provide our students with unparalleled opportunities to directly address ongoing public health issues.
