SPH Student receives Elizabeth Taylor Award for HIV Work

Doctoral student Kamiar Alaei was awarded the inaugural Elizabeth Taylor Award at an International AIDS Conference.

University at Albany School of Public Health doctoral student Kamiar Alaei was awarded the inaugural Elizabeth Taylor Award with his brother Arash Alaei at an International AIDS Conference in Washington, DC.  The award was given by the International AIDS Society and the Foundation for AIDS Research for the Alaei bothers’ work on HIV prevention and treatment in Iran targeted toward people who use drugs and for their human rights advocacy for people affected by HIV.  Click here to learn more about their story.
