The intersection between food insecurity and obesity is commonly called the “obesity paradox.” On going research initiatives look to help reduce the risk of obesity in low-income populations. Join us for discussion of the obesity paradox, the relationship between food insecurity and obesity and its impact, particularly, on women and children. Learn about local initiatives underway to address these issues.
