Foreign and Emerging Animal Disease (FEAD) and Preparedness Training for Veterinarians

Summary

Full day training combining lecture and workshops targeting public health leaders and veterinary professionals. The program focuses on emerging zoonotic disease threats and how to prepare and respond to outbreaks.

Objectives

  1. Consider possible roles for veterinarians when responding to an emergency or disaster
  2. List basic approaches to professional and personal preparedness
  3. Review strategies for business continuity
  4. Enhance knowledge on zoonotic threats
  5. Enhance knowledge of community partners in zoonotic disease
