Marvin D. Krohn's Research Projects

Intergenerational Transmission of Antisocial Behavior

  • The main goal of this sub-study of the Rochester Youth Development Study is to complete a long-term, multi-generational research project which examines the causes and consequences of antisocial behavior, as well as describe the amount of continuity and discontinuity in these behaviors across generations.

Life Course Continuity and Change in Antisocial Behavior

  • The major goal of this proposed study is to follow the subjects of the Rochester Youth Development Study to age 30 to examine the processes of continuity, desistance, and late onset by adding to the data already collected since early adolescence for a high-risk sample of urban males and females in Rochester, New York.

Explaining Serious, Chronic, and Violent Delinquency: A Panel Study of a Reciprocal Causal Model of Delinquency

  • Following a sample of high-risk youth from 1988 through 1996 (Rochester Youth Development Study), this research is conducting analysis on data collected during this time frame with a specific focus on improving our understanding of serious, chronic, and violent offenders.
