- Based on interviews, focus groups and field
observations, this project examines the gendered
negotiation of immigrant family culture among
second-generation Asian Americans and how
this impacts long-term decisions on marriage,
family and culture.

Identity Formation Among South Asian
Americans in the New York Metropolitan Area
- This project explores the role of family/
kinship networks in shaping the processes
of racial/ ethnic identity formation among
foreign-born and native-born South Asian Americans
