Important Guest Information

Registration and Check-in
A registration table will be available outside of Page Hall Auditorium starting at 11:30am on Thursday and 9:00am on Friday.
The table will remain open throughout the symposium to check in new arrivals, address any questions, and deal with any unexpected needs.
If you are unclear about what your registration includes or where the events are located, please see the attendant at the registration table.
If you have an emergency, please see the attendant at the registration table or ask any of the symposium participants to contact Diana Mancini.
Transportation and Parking
A University Shuttle will run between the Symposium location and the Crowne Plaza City Center and Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown hotels. See the Shuttle Schedule for details.
Hotels located on Western or Washington Avenues are on bus routes direct to the Symposium site. The Symposium location is on Routes 11 and 12. See the CDTA site for route information.
Parking will be available in Thurlow Lot, located directly across Western Avenue from Page Hall. On-street parking is also available. See the Downtown Campus Map for lot location.
You will need a parking permit in order to use the University parking area. You can request a parking permit ahead of time by sending an email to cjsymp@albany.edu and providing your mailing address.
Parking permits will also be available at the registration table. You can pick one up upon check-in if necessary.
Reception and Dinner
If you have registered to attend the Reception and Dinner, please plan to give 10 business cards to our staff when you check in on Thursday morning.
The Reception and Dinner is a pre-paid event. No additional registrations will be accepted at the event.
The Reception and Dinner will be held at 405 Washington Avenue, directly across the street from the Symposium site.
Continental Breakfast and Research Poster Session
The Continental Breakfast and Research Poster Session will be held in Milne Hall, Room 200. Milne Hall is located next door to Page Hall.
Lunch
Lunch will be held at 405 Washington Avenue, directly across the street from the symposium site.
Lunch will be informal. Box lunches will be available when you check in.
Seating at lunch will be open.
Storage of Personal Belongings at the Symposium Site
If you arrive at the Symposium site prior to checking into your hotel, we will have a secure location in which you can store your luggage during the event.
The same is true if you are departing from the symposium location. Space will be provided to store your luggage until you are ready to leave.
